Hello and welcome!

Just like you, we think that the future looks brighter when everyone is working together and contributing to build and innovate. This is why IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists. Our mission is to facilitate the global recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines through affirmative action. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women, men and people from all over the gender spectrum collectively using their diverse talents and perspectives to accelerate progress toward a sustainable future with innovative technology.

Locally, the IEEE WIE student branches at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University seek this brighter future by connecting students with industry leaders through events such as the yearly Wine & Cheese. We have put together this event for now sixteen years to benefit organizations in seeking the best candidates for internships, coops, and future coworkers.
